Drumroll . . . Pantone’s New Color of the Year!

Pantone recently made a bold move, declaring shade 18-2120 (also known as Honeysuckle) to be the 2011 Color of the Year!  Pantone describes Honeysuckle as “Courageous. Confident. Vital. A brave new color, for a brave new world. Let the bold spirit of Honeysuckle infuse you, lift you and carry you through the year. It’s a color for every day – with nothing “everyday” about it.”  A lot of designers on the web are shocked, thinking a shade of yellow would be picked instead.  Nope, my friends, it’s a bright pink!  Here are some great examples of the color in action:

Fashion, accessories, home decor – everything is turning up pink!  We have a few great FolkArt colors that completely work with this Honeysuckle trend, so look for some fun projects in the next few weeks.

  1. I think yellow when I hear honeysuckle. That room is way too much pink for me. Makes me think of PeptoBismol!
