Tuesday Huesday: Warm Up Your Room With Plum & Sand

With the autumn months on the horizon, some of you maybe dreading the cooler temperatures coming your way. Just because the temperature outside is changing, does not mean you can’t add some warmth to a room inside your home. Warming up a room can be as simple as adding a few new accessories or embellishing those you already have. I love the colors used in this bedroom. There are neutral basics,  yet the plum accents add a nice vibe of coziness and richness to the room. Purple can represent either cool or warm parts of the color spectrum, depending on the hue. If you would like to use a purple shade to warm a room,  look for shades of purple that have a slightly red hue to pull out the warm tones in a room.

We created this color palette using FolkArt Acrylic colors, Buttercup #905, Plum Vineyard #523, Camel #953, Real Brown #231
