To celebrate the release of the new Martha Stewart craft line, available at Michaels nationwide now, we here at Plaid are hosting a giveaway. But this is not just any giveaway, this is a Month of Martha Giveaway. Every week for a month, we will hold a giveaway, that will have a different prize from the new line up for grabs. Every Monday at noon we will announce a new giveaway prize, and announce the winners of that week’s prize on Friday afternoon.  We are giving away this an amazing prize pack to 1 lucky Paint Me Plaid blog reader. This week’s giveaway is going to be a prize pack filled with the following:

1 Large Brush Set

1 Detailing Brush Set

1 Stippling Brush

A 3 color assortment of paint from the new paint line

  36. LOVE the idea from Hani from Craftionary recycled baby food jars!! We have a chalk wall in the play room that the kids always use!
    Would love to get the new brushes to paint on my recycled wine bottles. I also make liquid-proof tile coasters that I paint and use MS’s Mod Podge. I think I see glitter as well, and I use that on the edges of the coasters. 🙂 I use stencils on personalized items especially for kid’s rooms – we made their own personal light switches, so each has their initial on them using stencils.   65. I would like to try some of the paint on a few pillows I have and if it turns out like I would expect, then I might be (nervously) painting my couch! I am in the process of changing the color scheme in my living room but do not have the funds available to buy new furniture or even the fabric to recover my current pieces, so I’ve been contemplating painting one couch. Like I said, nervously! 🙂

I am a disabled woman that learned how to paint and now I love it, sometimes it is the only thing that keeps me from not going crazy, but with being disabled I dont have the money to buy the product and I have been using it to paint some animals on the walls in our christen school for the pre K kids.   80. I’d love to try these products out on old furniture, such as chairs or small tables. I like to give items others are throwing out a second life. The large brush set would be perfect for base coating and the detail brushes would be great for creating leaves, florals, painting primitive designs.

    I LOVE to paint and these supplies would be a wonderful addition to my supply stash! With the brushes i would use them to do all sorts of different techniques. And that paint!!! Gorgeous!! I alter clocks and these paints would be good for my clocks.

  95. As a Decorative Painting Teacher, I would use every item to introduce “newbies” to the joys of Decorative Painting!

    Brushes: The largest size would be the Varnish brush – every project needs a durable, smooth finish. The next largest flat would be to basecoat the surface, and the remaining brushes would be used for different components of the design. (By the way, I have already discovered Martha’s graduated size pouncers for stenciling! They are amazing!!)

    Fat Stippler: I would show my students how to use the fat stippler brush to create a background effect that is visually interesting and requires no experience to achieve. Just stipple…………

    Ahh, the paints….I would create a whimsical, oversized flower design and paint each petal with a different sheen of paint in an analogous color scheme.

    I think it’s important to introduce beginners to things that make them smile throughout their initial classes – happy colors, fun designs and easy, affordable surfaces like a 12 X 12″ canvas.
