Web Wednesday: Washi Tape Coasters

When it comes to home accessories, what is the one item you can never have enough of? Coasters! It may be just my personal opinion, but I think coasters are very handy to have around. My only issue with coasters is that often times I don’t find very stylish ones when out shopping. No worries I plan on taking a cue from a blog friend of ours, Crystal. Crystal is a crafter and blogs on A Pumpkin and A Princess. She created these colorful and stylish washi tape coasters. This is such a great project and it only requires two supplies, washi tape and mod podge. To see how Crystal made these coasters, visit her blog here.

Web Wednesday: Mod Podge Tile Coasters

Mod Podge is so versatile. I mean this is a product that can be used on several different types of craft projects. The options are limitless with just how creative you can be when using Mod Podge. Take these tile coasters for instance. I recently stumbled across this cute DIY project, and immediately fell in love with it. This is a very simple project to recreate, and you can use several different types of paper designs to decorate your tiles with. Coasters are such a necessity in any home. I love this type of re-purposed project, because it allows you easily take some ordinary and turn it into some extrodinary. To learn step by step on how to create this project click, here.

Freelance Friday: Reindeer Holiday Coasters

The reindeer is one of the most iconic holiday figures. I don’t know what it is about them, but every time I see a reindeer I can’t help but to smile. That’s exactly what I did when I first saw these adorable reindeer holiday coasters. These coasters were made by one of our craft blogger friends, Myra. Her blog is called, My Blessed Life. Myra created these holiday coasters using products from the new Martha Stewart craft line. These coasters are a great homemade gift. Saturday Find: Paint By Number Hex Symbol Coasters

I spotted these paint by number hex coasters on Design*Sponge and thought the story behind them was pretty cool. According to Design*Sponge, “Hex signs are a form of traditional Pennsylvania Dutch folk art. They have been painted on the sides of barns to ward off evil spirits, offer good fortune or wish happiness for hundreds of years.”  What a perfect sentiment for the holiday season and the upcoming new year.  You can get the templates and tutorial for painting these at Design*Sponge here; might even be fun to paint these in Christmas colors and use them for years to come.

Make it Monday: Christmas Coaster & Wine Marker Set

It’s finally cold here in Hotlanta!  Not freezing, like in some parts of your worlds, but just cold enough that I’m feeling the holiday crafting season for the first time.  It’s hard to think about the holidays until it’s a little chilly, at least for me.  I’m quite sure you are in need of some gift ideas, so I wanted to share with you this tree coaster and wine marker set.  It uses some fun (and unusual) Christmas colors – I like that.  I also like the simple painting.  Finally, I like the fact that it’s a useful gift.  I think you should make some too, and remember that you can customize this project with whatever holiday colors float your boat.  Find the complete instructions here.
