Make it Monday: Painted Paint Chip Box

Are you a paint chip collector?  No one wants to throw them away – you might be able to use them!  I discovered this paint chip box at Southern Inspirations and thought it was a really cute idea.  It’s a mini-suitcase that uses black FolkArt acrylic combined with Mod Podge and paper . . . then you have a storage container!  You can use it for any kind of paint chips, even the ones that you make with your FolkArt colors.  Read the entire tutorial here.

TGIF Project: Vintage Mom Office Organizer

Did you know that January is National Organization Month?  It’s funny that many of us crafters have “issues” in this arena . . . but I find it’s hard to manage such a large stash!  I thought this idea from Cathie and Steve was cute, and I can use it to organize my inspiration on the wall.  I can also write myself notes about organizer better.  You should know that you can write on that pink surface, because it’s FolkArt Chalkboard Paint.  Fun, huh?  See the entire project here.

Make It Monday: Back-to-School Chalkboard

Down here in the South we seem to be starting school before anyone else – it still feels very much like summer here! Unfortunately we can’t ignore that it’s time for traffic, organized sports, school supplies and packed lunches. . . it’s back to school! I thought this project was appropriate for those of you who are parents AND for teacher gifts.  It’s a phone message board with FolkArt Chalkboard paint and cork. You can write your messages or you can pin them. Make one for yourself or make one for your child’s new teacher – either way, you keep yourself organized for the busy school year ahead!  Visit the full project instructions here.
