Hot Glue Gun Helper Giveaway

Do you burn your fingers when using a hot glue gun? It is a common occurrence that has happened so many times to people. Well did know we here at Plaid have a solution for this issue? It’s a product called a Hot Glue Gun Helper. Take the sting and mess out of working with hot glue guns. Our one-of-a-kind set of must-have tools will banish your hot glue woes! Set includes a mat, finger caps, tweezers, a paddle and a press wand. Cathie Filian and Steve Piacenza created this hot glue gun helper. Make it Monday: Chalkboard Herb Pot

Spring is in full bloom, and that means it is time to get outside into your garden. There are so many flower pots out there to buy, but how about making your own? Try crating this chalkboard herb pot. This fashionable decorative pot is one of the Artsy Clay Pots projects by Cathie and Steve. This pot is very simple to make, and you can write whatever you want on it. Create this pot in several different colors, with several different messages. Your flower garden is sure to be a colorful one, with pots like these inside.

PLAID Supplies

  • Plaid ® Hot Glue Gun Helpers
  • FolkArt ® Chalkboard Paint – Hot Pink, 8 oz.
Other Supplies
Large clay pot
Foam paintbrush
Hot glue gun and glue
Ribbon and trim

Instructions

  1. Working in one direction, paint the clay pot with Chalkboard paint. Allow to dry. Paint a second coat in the opposite direction. Allow to dry. Paint a third coat in the direction you first painted. Allow to dry.
  2. Season the chalkboard paint by rubbing a piece of chalk over the surface. Wipe and clean and you are ready to write a message.Using Hot Glue Gun Helpers and hot glue, glue ribbons and trims around the top of the pot.

Learn How To Make Birthday Decorations from Plaid TV

This is fine, but what if you could simply make some birthday party decorations? In this video Cathie Filian and Steve Piacenza will show you step by step how to create a birthday pennant banner. Watch HSN To See The New Martha Stewart Paint Line and Hot Glue Gun Helpers

A few months ago the Martha Stewart Craft line debuted on HSN, and guess what it is back again! If you missed a chance to see the new line on HSN, your in luck. It will air again on September 26th at 1pm EST. Also be sure not to change the channel, because later on that day Cathie Filian will be on HSN to talk all about the amazing Hot Glue Gun Helpers at 3pm EST. Last time the glue gun helpers were on, were sold out in 7 minutes! Cathie will be showing these off at 5am EST and 3pm EST, also she will be demonstrating the Peel and Stick Stencil and Paint kit –only during the first show at 5am.

Hot Glue Gun Helpers Top 20 Finalist for CHA Innovations

I know you’ve heard of Hot Glue Gun Helpers by Cathie and Steve.  No?  They are only the coolest tools for using hot glue without those nasty burns!  Cathie and Steve brought the tools to Plaid and they are now available at the HGGH Etsy Shop.  I’d also love for you to watch a video about these awesome tools here.

The exciting news about HGGH is that they in the TOP 20 finalists for the CHA Innovations Award!  As the name suggests, this prestigious honor is awarded to the most innovative product of the winter show as determined by a panel of judges.  For the nomination Cathie and Steve had to set up a table and give a 60-second presentation in front of a group of CHA press and bigwigs.  Then they had 40 minutes to show off how the HGGH works at their station.  It’s a lot of pressure, but Cathie and Steve handled it like champs (of course).
